Jack worked with roundwood builder Ben Law on this project which  involved building an outdoor classroom at the sustainability centre in Hampshire. It is an open sided building built with a roundwood cruck frame and steam bent curved roof with a cordwood wall at the rear of the building.

The cruck frame and all roundwood components are Lawson Cypress felled only fifty meters away from where the frame was constructed. The Lawson Cypress was a nurse crop from a beech plantation so it was considered a waste product with little commercial value. All other timber, including Douglas Fir for joists and Western Red Cedar for the flooring and roofing shingles, were sourced from an estate within fifteen miles of the site.
